John Dow

John Dow has been providing customized risk management portfolios to medical professionals for nearly 30 years. He began his insurance career in 1974 with Aetna Casualty and Surety after graduating with honors from the University of Toronto. He was promoted to Commercial Accounts Representative (Field Underwriter) and relocated to Los Angeles, California.

John joined a Beverly Hills insurance brokerage in 1982 and began specializing in medical malpractice insurance and large commercial accounts. He joined Tegner-Miller in 1995, bringing with him an extensive array of contacts and insurance expertise. Here, he continues his dedication to providing specialized coverage for health care professionals.

Throughout his career, John has helped hundreds of clients ranging from individual physicians and surgeons to diagnostic imaging centers. He has constructed insurance portfolios for the complex needs of large groups such as industrial urgent care clinics with more than 30 locations and groups of emergency room physicians with low and high acuity visits throughout the United States. One of his specialties is finding coverage in the challenging "non-standard" or hard-to-place market.
